Measure Your Cup Size
Bras were beyond any doubt made by men to make women look nice
There are stories that the 1st cross-your-heart lift-and individual bra was formed for movie actresses, and you can see the proof for that in “The Aviator” which is purportedly about Howard Hughes.
Now, to measure your size. Whomever developed the cup system must have been totally insane. Its measures make no sense at all. This is what you do.
Step 1:
You must measure below your boobs, therefore the circumfrence of your chest “without any breast” can be found out. I think you can do it 10 times and get 10 different numbers. Your aim is the lowest number, since this means you’ve gone as “straight across” as possible. Do not pull tight, because keep in mind that this is going to determine how your bra’s “band” fits. You need it to be easy, and it shouldn’t be tight or lose. (keep your measure in Inches)
Step 2:
Add “4″ to the number what you got in step one. Say you have got 29 in step 1. You need to add “4″ and you will get 33 inch. Bra makers are completely insane and they don’t make odd number sized bras. If you have got Odd number like 33. Add +1 to it to make it 34, so that you will get an even number.
So what is this number? This is the number what you will find in Bras, like 34 B. And you don’t have to worry about it. Lets go the next step.
Step 3:
You can now measure the circumference of your boobs at its most entire part, so generally over the tops of the nipples. You are going for a perfect fit again. You do not require a bra that squashes you in. That ends up hurting you after a while. You as well do not want a bra that flops around. You need one that fits softly against your breasts to hold them in position.
Lets say you get 35 inches here.
Step 4:
Now to find the Cup Size. You will just need to find the difference between the number you got in step 3 and step 2. So in this case it is 35 – 34 = 1. Also note that sometimes you get negative numbers as well. Since we are adding 4 inches in the 2nd step. No problem even if you get negative number.
Step 5:
Use the following chart to find the cup size, with the difference number you got. This is how you determine your cup size. Wearing a bra of perfect Cup size can make you look more appealing.
| Difference | Cup Size |
| < 1 inch | AA |
| 1-2 inches | A |
| 2-3 inches | B |
| 3-4 inches | C |
| 4-5 inches | D |
| 5-6 inches | E or DD |
| 6-7 inches | F or DDD or EE |
| 7-8 inches | G or FF or EEE |
